This is obviously true for the city's history and its special geographic situation as a ''gate to the east''.
However, Vienna exhibits also intriguing differences in meteorologic phenomena - not only between the city and the adjacent regions of Austria, but also inside of the federal state Vienna.
Meteo Vienna is aimed to inform interested readers about the meteorologic side of the city by means of extensive illustrations and case studies.
The website will be arranged as follows:
- Introduction: Numbers and facts, climatologic and geographic situation
- Wind Systems: Frequent wind directions, foehn winds and vortex vindobonensis
